Mood Board Part 2 Featuring: Blue and Shades!

Greetings to the Tiny Homes Community! This blog post is a continuation of our mini series on all things decorations and mood boards. We’re excited to share pictures of the color schemes and decor we would choose for our tiny home in hopes to inspire everyone. We’ll also be sharing where to purchase and how to recycle home decor that is a more eco-friendly alternative to the environment. Thanks for tuning into our mini blog post series and enjoy our final blog!

The mood board that I designed was inspired by a classic black, white, and grey theme added with earth tones like blue, green, and teal. The forestry tones in the colors are the perfect way to integrate the feeling of bringing nature into your tiny home. Whether you’re a minimalist or maximalist, this color scheme is the perfect vibe of clean, sleek, organic, and allows room for artistic creativity. Also if you’re one with nature you will feel right at home, literally! The addition of vine plants and mood lighting can turn any room into a cozy personal cave with a warm atmosphere which is exactly what I would want in a tiny home. I would use blue dishes and kitchen appliances to add a personal touch of color and liven up the space. What better way to really personalize your home than creating your own soap and candles? These two things are a great eco-friendly and creative addition to a clean home! A final touch of adding a shelf or space for books is an affordable way to decorate and also be productive!

An amazing place to get inspiration and gather natural ingredients is the local farmers market near you, not only will you be helping a local business but you will also be acquiring less harmful ingredients for the planet. You can shop ingredients for soaps and candles or simply buy from a local business that uses natural ingredients. Also, thrift stores are not only affordable but are the perfect place to find jars, storage, and unique decor or appliances. At Home is an affordable home store that has never ending selection of bedding and wall decor, it is my go-to when I am looking for something specific but still on a budget!

How you decorate your home is an opportunity to express yourself and what you find comfortable in a living space. We had the pleasure of creating this mini blog series to inspire Tiny Home Lovers all over the world and hope to see your ideas come to life!
